6.1 Answering traveller questions

Answer trip questions to gain more visibility

Travellers often have specific questions when planning a trip. Horizon Guides allows them to ask these questions directly to specialist partners.

When you answer a traveller’s question, your response is sent directly to them and the conversation may also become a published Q&A across the Horizon Guides platform. These are anonymised and can appear on your public profile, within destination guides, and in other relevant sections of the site.

Your answers are published under your own name and link directly to your profile and trip listings.

Q&As allow travellers researching similar trips to benefit from your expertise, while helping you demonstrate your knowledge to a wider audience.

In some cases, particularly helpful answers may also be extracted from your normal conversations with travellers and published as Q&As. This helps build a growing library of practical travel advice across the platform.

When answering questions, the same principle applies as with all contributions on Horizon Guides: describe, don’t sell. Focus on sharing useful advice, clarifying options, and helping travellers understand the destination.

Answering questions also creates a connection with the traveller who asked it. They may still be in the early stages of planning, but if your advice is helpful they are likely to return to you when they are ready to organise their trip.

Over time, partners who regularly provide thoughtful answers build a visible record of their expertise across the platform.
