2.1 Your company overview
Introduce people to your business and what you do
This section focuses on your company, what you do, and what makes you different. To edit your profile, log in to the partner admin and select Profile from the sidebar.
You’ll see the following fields.
Company name
Your company name appears across your Horizon Guides profile and listings. Use your official trading name so travellers can easily recognise you and verify your business.
Tagline
A short, concise description of what your company does. If you already use a tagline on your website or marketing materials, you can use the same one here. If not, aim for a clear summary of your main offering.
Examples:
- Responsible tours to the Top End
- Small-group safaris in northern Tanzania
- Tailor-made cultural journeys in Bhutan
Keep it short and descriptive. This line should help travellers immediately understand what kind of trips you specialise in.
Overview
This is the main description of your company.
You can either:
- Copy this from the About Us page on your website, or
- Write a shorter version specifically for Horizon Guides.
Your overview should explain:
- What your company offers
- Where you operate
- What makes your approach distinctive
Focus on the substance of your expertise, rather than marketing language.
In most cases, shorter is better. A few clear paragraphs are usually enough to give travellers a sense of who you are and what makes your trips different.
Key selling points
These are short bullet points highlighting the most important strengths of your company.
You can include up to three. Examples:
- Top rated on TripAdvisor
- Locally owned and operated
- Custom and small-group tours
- 30 years’ experience
Choose points that quickly communicate credibility, expertise, or a distinctive approach.
Avoid repeating information already covered in your overview.
Homepage URL
Your website homepage.
Travellers often visit your website to learn more about your company, so make sure this link is correct.
Sales email address
This is the email address where you want to receive new enquiries from Horizon Guides.
Make sure it is monitored regularly. Fast replies significantly increase the chances of converting an enquiry into a booking.
Logo
Upload your company logo so travellers can easily recognise your brand.
Photos
You can upload up to three photos. Choose images that help travellers visualise the experience you offer. The best photos usually show:
- Guests enjoying the destination
- Real experiences from your trips
- Landscapes or wildlife typical of your tours
- Avoid generic stock imagery if possible.
You must have the right to use any photos you upload. If the images were taken by a photographer, make sure you have permission to use them. Partners are responsible for ensuring they hold the appropriate copyright or usage rights.
Updating your profile
You can update your profile at any time through the partner admin area.
Keeping your profile accurate and up to date helps travellers understand what you offer and increases the chances that the right enquiries reach you.
